DSC PowerSeries security control panels are hybrid systems offering hardwired and wireless zones for optimum security protection. The PowerSeries control panels are structured with the choice of three different security panels (PC1864, PC1832, and PC1616) to meet the level of security for large to small installations. The Alexor PC9155 wireless security panel is the newest product line for DSC. The Alexor is a totally wireless burglar alarm panel using two-way wireless communications to some of their devices like the WT5500 wireless keypad with alpha numeric display. The WT4989 wireless keyfob utilizes 2 way control and status indication with Alexor. The WT4901 interior siren and the WT4911 outdoor siren are supervised battery operated sounders. The Alexor is compatible with all DSC 433 Mhz wireless transmitters.

GSM Communicators

The GSM Communicator is installed between the telephone connection of a control panel and telephone line. When used in a backup role, the communicator assesses the connection to the PSTN phone line, and if that has failed, it then connects to the GSM network to send an alarm signal to the monitoring station. In a primary role, the communicator simply sends the alarm transmission over the GSM network immediately.

The DSC GSM-3055i universal wireless alarm communicator can be used in a backup or primary role. The GS3055-I connects the alarm control panel to the GSM network and reports alarm signals directly to a monitoring station receiver (Sur-Gard ™ System /System III). For those customers not using a traditional PSTN phone line, the communicator can be utilized as a primary alarm communicator. The GS3055-I uses the GPRS data channel of the GSM network to ensure low-cost, high-speed and reliable alarm communications and is compatible with any control panel that communicates using the Contact ID format.
